Cycloplegia is a temporary relaxation of the eye's focusing muscles, caused by special eye drops. It allows the doctor to accurately measure your child's vision and check for any focusing problems. During this time, your child may have blurred vision and increased sensitivity to light. These effects usually wear off in a few hours to a couple of days depending on children and iris colours.
